Spencer turned 2 months!!!

Spencer turned 2 months old on the 24th of April.  We feel so blessed to have him as our son after all my stomach problems we were not completely certain how long it would take to have another child.  We were very excited to find that Spencer came to us very quickly and has been such a joy to have him in our lives.  I can't believe 2 months have already gone by he is so mellow and good natured.  The 2 month appointment he was average with everything weighing 11 pounds 9 ounces and 23 inches long how perfect is that.  He looks like a blondy with slight reddish tint.  This last week we have seen some smiling starting and also a bit of cooing.  Sadie just loves this little man and is very responsive with getting things for him when she is asked to (so mature now spencer has brought out the best in her).  Spencer will be blessed this next sunday May 6.

Fun in the sun!!!

This last week we finally invited Sadie's little friend in the ward over to play at our house Sadie has been begging me and begging me to have Bree come to play.  Since I am going back to work this next week we decided to give Bree a call.  After preschool I picked them both up and we went to Canyon Rim park to play and eat some treats.  the park didn't last very long because the girls got toooo hot and wanted to go home!  When we got home we ate lunch and then filled up the swimming pool to cool down because we could not figure out the sprinklers without dad home to help.  I didn't think the girls would last long in the freezing cold water but they play for at least a good hour or so in that cold cold water.  Spencer and I sat on the chairs and supervised.  These girls have so much fun together and play so well.  Bree's family is moving to Seattle this summer Sadie is going to be so sad she loves to play with friends.  Since I have been home Sadie everyday is asking what friend she can play with next.  I am so glad that she is such a social butterfly but wish she liked being with just mom more than she does.

Tulip Festival!!

Friday April 21st my day started with a jog and then came home and pulled weeds while my kids played in the yard. Then my mom, me and the kids met up with Lynne and Sara Carlquist at the Thanksgiving point tulip festival. The flowers were just as beautiful as always. The weather was really nice but quite hot for this time a year and felt even hotter when pushing a double wide jogging stroller around with 2 kids. I had wondered how long we would last because when we got there both kids were screaming and Sadie was so tired because we didn't even get there until about 1! When we first got in we went and put our name down at the Trelis Cafe for lunch and there was an hour wait so we went to walk around the festival for a while. We grabbed Sadie some lunch at the festival and then headed back up to the cafe. The lunch there was wonderful I enjoyed a greek salad in a beautiful setting the lunch took a while but Sadie did surprisingly well even sitting in a highchair because they didn't have any seat for her! When we were paying for lunch Sara took Sadie out and Sadie took her into the store and Sara bought her some cotton candy which my mom had promised her if she was good at the end of the day. Sadie got the cotton candy a little early but was still pretty good but zonked out in the car as soon as we left. When Sara bought the cotton candy she set Sadie up on the countertop and Sadie point at Sara and told the lady Sara's got the cash. After lunch we went and finished our way around the festival and saw the millions of beautiful tulips of all different variety's. We took pictures, fed the fish and relaxed on the grass at the amphitheater! Very enjoyable day while Eddie went golfing and then to the red and white spring game!!!

Reptile show!!

Kesha and I took the kids to a reptile show at the Sandy library. This was another free and very fun library event- we love those. There was quite a crowd but the girl putting on the show dealt with it very well. After the show was over they got to go pet and look at the reptiles! They saw a turtle, snake, lizard, anaconda, and a crocodile skull. After this we went and read books and checked some books and DVD's out. After all this Sadie, Spencer and I went for lunch to Taco Bell and then ran some errands. Thank goodness I was still in the area because I got a phone call from the library because I had left my library card there so we went back to pick it up!!

My 31st birthday!!!

Ahhh 31!!!! I don't feel any different but I am another year old and hopefully wiser! This year was a great birthday it started on Sunday with a family dinner at my parents house with the family including grandma and grandpa Davis! My mom cooked a yummy steak dinner with gorgonzola cheese (only good on steaks) and bacon. Then we hung out for awhile and the kids went outside and played and then we had cake and presents. The cake was so yummy it was an SCD applesauce cake with honey whipped frosting very sweet but delicious!!! Then I got to open presents everyone was so generous with money and ry gave me workout pants and socks and mom a shirt! The kids all gathered around to help blow out candles (which they all spit all over the cake)and open presents! What a fun night!!! My birthday actually was on Wednesday and was also a wonderful day but the weather was crappy so I took the kids to Whitmore library for story time and a move and groove class where the kids got to dance and listen to stories sadie loved this. Being home with the kids the last little bit I have discovered many fun great free events that the library puts on! After the library we met my mom at Mcdonald's by her work and she bought me my birthday lunch! Then I went to the gym for a workout it was Spencers first time but it was my birthday and I was determined to go to the gym!!! He slept the whole time thank goodness!! After that we came home and got ready to go with Eddie, Nick, Kesha and kids, Ry and Blake to Biaggis for dinner one of my favorite meals love it!! Before going to dinner my visiting teachers brought me a vase of gorgeous flowers and Eddie brought beautiful tulips and brand new running shoes that I am in love with. Thanks for the best birthday I could ask for!!

Easter fun in ST. George at Aunt Cathy's house!!!

This year we spent Easter in St. George with the whole family at Aunt Cathy's St. George (that is what Sadie calls it)! Cathy, Steve, Hailee, Jonathan, Richelle, Dalton, and Richelle's mom were also there so we had a good crowd. If you asked Sadie if she could go anywhere in the world her answer would probably be Aunt Cathy's St. George this is her favorite vacation but she always wants to be at the house to play with all the toys and swim in the pool. Everytime we are there we always try to do fun things but Sadie just fights it she just want to stay and play toys all day both good and bad! This year Eddie, Sadie mom, and I tried to hike Red Cliffs with Sadie and Spencer on our backs it was beautiful and fun but Sadie could not wait to get back and see Hailee and play at the house. Poor Hailee goes crazy because Sadie followers her around 24/7! We did many fun things like the annual egg hunt in Ivins with grandma Scott (this year she didn't come to the egg hunt because she wasn't feeling well but we went to visit her after to introduce her to Spencer), went swimming and to the gym, hiking, the outlets, out to dinner at Paula's, lunch at Carl's Jr., hanging at the house letting the kids play, having our own egg hunt, dyed eggs, and played with easter toys! The weather was beautiful I love St. George! I also signed up while gone for the Echo Triatholon in July so I swan some laps in the pool while in St. George!

Dying easter eggs with the dye and sparkles. The kids were so tired because we played too long and didn't get to the eggs til 10 and the kids were spent but begging to do the eggs! Since we stayed up so late with the kids it meant the adults went to bed super late to get the easter stuff ready! This seems to happens every year!
Spencers Easter formal!
Our own easter egg hunt at Aunt Cathy's this year the bunny left candy, stickers, prizes and coins!
Sadie always loves the easter egg hunts!

Ready set go!!!
Sadie found her basket hiding, she knew it was hers because it was pink and she is the only girl!
This year Aunt Ry Ry had the cutest idea and left out a trail of carrots for the bunny and the kids planted jelly beans that night! Aunt Ry Ry told them these beans would sprout lollipops but they had to leave a trail of carrots leading the bunny to the jelly beans. This was sooo cute the kids were so surprised when the carrots were gone and the lollipops were sprouted and there were bunny prints all over the yard!! Now Ry will have to be with us every year because the kids now think this is alway what the easter bunny does!
Gathering the sprouted lollipops!
Bunny prints secret is to use baby powder!
The Ivins easter egg hunt!!

Fun at the West Jordan City Park

A few weeks ago Kesha and the kids met up with Sadie, Spencer and I for a picnic at the park. Sadie was so excited to see Boston and Easton because they had spent the entire week in Vernal with their grandma Julie while Nick and Kesha went on a cruise in the caribbean- LUCKY! We had Subway sandwiches (Sadie ate the whole thing which she never does it did take a while though) and then went to play on the playground. I got no pictures of them actually on the play ground and that is because the playground there is soooo busy and all the big kids were out of school for spring break and running wild! The West Jordan park is so cute it is set up like a wooden village but it is impossible to keep track of your kids once they are on the move because they go inside these little wooden villages and you can't see them. I love this park but it was not ideal to have a 3 year old running around and another kid in their car seat because you can't chase around children with carrying a car seat. I was ready to leave after about 5 minutes because I was nervous at the park not being able to see Sadie. Finally Kesha watched the kids and I went to get the Bjorn thank goodness for that then I could chase Sadie better. I think for now I prefer smaller parks where I can see Sadie the whole time while spencer and I just sit and watch. We did have such a fun afternoon though with Kesha and the boys!
These kids are sooo silly together!
Spencer the star of the show!!
My 2 favorite kids I can't believe how much Sadie just leaves her brother!!!

Our first visit to Trafalga!

This last week we were just sitting at home on Friday and I needed to get out of the house it was about 2:30 when Sadie hits her wall. We decided to go do something fun! We bought the pass of all passes for this summer and they include Trafalga in Lehi so we thought we would give it try so Sadie, Spencer and I went to have some fun. Sadie loved it even though half the rides were closed because it is not quite the season yet.
Her favorite ride was the frog drop and I think she went on it about 20 times! Look at that grin from ear to ear!
She only went on the airplanes once and look like she was going to fall asleep. These were not thrilling enough for her and she keep complaining that the roller coaster was closed!
They had a climbing wall there and Sadie was asking me to do it. I didn't think she would be tall enough but the guy said only 36" and so she just barely made the cut off. She was so dang cute she got half way up the wall and then her hands slipped off the rock and she was just dangling in the air because she didn't weigh enough to get herself back down. She turned to me while dangling and said "mom this is kind of tricky." She had everyone watching her because she was by far the youngest and was out climbing a lot of the older kids. I hope she does it again next time the only reason she might not is because she dangled in the air for so long she started to get agitated but never once seemed scared or nervous. She is definitely my little thrill seeker!!

Such a fun afternoon I had with the two little ones and they were both soooo good!
