Ahhhh 4 months!!!

Girls and big kids trip to St. George too see Aladdin!!!

Yeah what a fun new tradition of going to St. George with the girls/kids in the family to see a play at the Tuachan theater and play for the weekend.  In June My mom, rylee, me, Sadie, Kesha, and Boston all took off in the Tahoe to St. George for the weekend to see Alaadin at the Tuachan theater and we stayed at the Millers condo Rylee's in laws!  Needless to say the car ride was crazy getting there with Sadie and Boston sitting next to each other in the back seat half the time fighting and half just being noisy kids.  The weather was hot but so nice to sit out at the pool and soak in the first of the summers rays!  We swam everyday played on the playground

Go Red Pumas!!!!

Go Red Puma's!!!  This summer we signed Sadie up for soccer at the Eccles Field house she was soooo excited to be taking lessons of some sort.  Although dancing was first choice but that didn't start until fall so we gave soccer a try.  We signed up with our friends the Cooley's and Joe Cooley was their coach and she played with Joe and Caroline.  The first game of the season Grandma Kathy, papa, and grandpa Jim came to watch and Sadie didn't perform at all she was more worried about socializing and paying attention to anything but the ball.  Sadie is such a funny little girl she has an attention span of nothing!  Halfway through the season Joe needed Eddie to coach a game and Sadie was sooo excited.  Half the team was not there so the players all played the whole game and Sadie did such a great job kicking, running and even made 3 goals (despite the 100+ degree temps inside the field house)!!  Needless to say we bribed her with Cafe Rio but we were very proud and she was extremely excited!!!  What a fun season of soccer now we will start dance in the fall!

Fathers Day and the miracle of my Dad!!!

The story of a miracle!!!  Fathers day weekend my dad left with nick to go fly fishing up in Spanish Fork canyon they took their waders and waded about 3 miles up a river in the raging hot sun!  They spent the day fishing and only having a few snacks after a fun day they decided to call it a day and head back to the car.  My dad made it all the way back to the car without a problem other than being hot and tired , but normal!  As they were heading home my dad started to feel tingling in his extremities and Nick said he looked very pale and my dad and Nick decided something was not right so Nick rushed my dad to the American Fork hospital and they took him in and they said he was having a heart attack and they rushed Nick and dad in an ambulance to Utah Valley Regional Hospital.  By that time I was at home with the kids and Eddie was gone to Youth Conference but was on his way home.  I was organizing Spencer's clothes and the kids were napping and I noticed a call from Kesha and answered it and I thought Kesha was laughing but she was crying and she told me that dad had a heart attack and she and my mom were headed to Provo to the hospital.  While I was on the phone Eddie came home and I had just lost it so we grabbed the kids and dropped off Spencer with Jeanette and took Sadie with us because she wanted too!!  I could not believe this was happening when we got there dad was in surgery getting 3 stents put in.  After the procedure the Dr. came and got the family to come in and they told us that dad had had a severe heart attack and had 3 stents put in and was very lucky that he was not camping overnight somewhere because he would not have made it!!!  I consider it a miracle that Nick was able to get him to a hospital so quickly to they could rush him in!!  I am so grateful for my dad and all that he has done for me!

Happy Fathers Day dad we all went to visit him at the hospital and then went out to dinner at brick oven afterwards.  We missed the barbecue that we had planned for all the dads but very grateful we still have our dad with us!

After my dad had spent a couple of days in the hospital Utah Valley Regional and was feeling better my mom kept waiting for him to call her to come pick him up it got to be about 3 o'clock and my mom was thinking she was either going to leave to visit my dad or bring him home.  While she was waiting dad pulled a typical brad move and walked in the front door of the house and about gave my mom a heart attack herself.  She looked at him and said how in the world did he get there and he looked at her and said I rode the bus, we couldn't believe the hospital released him without a ride home!!!  He got a ride from the hospital to the bus stop and then had a couple of bus changes and then a walk home from 45th south but proud that he made it home!  We are just glad he made it safe but we realized this event had not changed dads humor!
A few weeks after the stents were put in the cardiologist decided that dad needed to have quadruple bypass surgery.  My parents told us kids on a thursday and dad had the surgery done on the next Monday.  The surgery went really well but after the first day there was one set back they thought he had blood around his heart so they had to go in and reopen him and it was just fluid so they drained it out and closed him up, so he had to stay in ICU at St. Marks a little longer but my dad is a champ.  I spent my lunch breaks with dad at the hospital since he was just at St. Marks which was soooo nice but I didn't take any time off work which was really hard while he was having the surgery.  When he got transferred to the regular hospital he was not looking great he was on too many pain killers and was very out of it.  He Stayed in the hospital until the next Sunday when they released him,  my dad suddenly seemed so much better he just needed to leave the hospital, who likes staying there anyways!!  He is doing very well and is up moving around and has been to lunch with my mom and and also some of his friends.  He now has some awesome scars but hopefully a healthier heart than all of us!

Lunch at the hospital and then a zoo day!!

I had my 6 week appointment with Dr. Terry since having the guest little boy Spencer.  This hospital visit meant taking my kids to the hospital with me because Sadie is very insistent and now obsessed with the hospital after having Spencer she love more than anything going to the hospital to visit Spencer and I right after I had him!  So sadie and Spencer and I went to the hospital for my appointment and Rylee met us there so she watched the kids while I had my appointment and then we went to the cafeteria for lunch.  The cafeteria at the IMC hospital is a favorite place for lunch Sadie had chicken strips and I had grill zucchini and a salad as always.  Grandma Kathy also met us for lunch too!  For watching the kiddos I took Ry to the Zoo after with us and used our zoo pass!!

Nothing but smiles at the hospital!!
Checking out the cool new exhibits at the Zoo with the sea otters and the polar bear exhibits!
The infamous picture of the lion fountain!!!

We had a ton of fun at the Zoo and are excited about our pass but next time I will not go without the double stroller and not at the heat of the day in the summer at nap time.  Sadie had a hard time walking around and so we pushed her in the stroller most of the time and carried spencer.  Thanks Ry for helping me out!!

Smile Spencer!!!

I love, love, love this little boy.  He is learning to smile and laugh and starting to roll over so many new things!!!  I tried to capture a smile  but it is so hard so this is what I came up with!!  Right now Spencer is also very ticklish on his upper thighs he laughs and grunts when I tickle him there!!!  I can't believe he is already 16 weeks old!!!

This is the place monument with our cousins!!!

Kesha and I took the kids to this is the place monument they had a free day for Huntsman Day free to get in and a free ice cream cone!!!  The kid were so good we had so much fun up there with them!  They had all sorts of different activities for kids we first stopped at the playhouses Sadie thought it was so cool to have playhouses she could fit in!!!  We had a picnic, went to a petting zoo, rode pony rides, played in play houses, had ice cream,  rode the trains, and watched the indians dance (which Sadie said was her favorite part to watch the little 3 year old indian)!!!

The weather was pretty hot so after a while we went to get out free ice cream cone to cool down!!!
Time for the train ride which is what the kids had been waiting all day for.  We rode the big train to a smaller train for the kids to ride on!!!

Teton Dam Marathon 2012!!!

This past weekend Rylee, Blake, mom and I went to Rexburg for our annual Teton Dam Marathon!!!  We do this ever year we make a team of 6 runners with whoever in the family is ready to run, we have so much fun.  We left Salt Lake on Friday night after work I had to leave Sadie and Spencer with Eddie because I had no one to watch them while I ran.  The feeling without kids was kind of weird but it was nice to not worry about them and relax and sleep in just a bit.  On the way to Rexburg we thought it sounded good to stop to eat at Maddox for dinner none of us liked it Rylee had a fried shrimp patty which she doesn't eat fried food, I had a ground sirloin steak which I didn't realize was basically a huge burger with a plate full of steamed carrots, Blake had fried chicken but didn't eat much because he was not hungry, and mom like her shrimp patty!!!  Dinner was like 20 dollars a piece which was not worth it and then we didn't get to Rexburg til about 1130 pm.  We talked a bit to Dan and Sandy when we got there and then went to bed because we had to wake up at 5:15 for the run!!!  Missy came to the house at 530 and we headed out to pick up Tiff and then to the Teton Dam.  The weather was freezing and it had been raining during the night which made the first 2 legs of the race very muddy because it was a dirt trail!!  Missy started us out at the dam on the first leg burr!!!!

Blake was out second runner!!!  What a good sport the only boy not sure he loved it he said someone else could take his turn next year!!

Rylee wanted to be the 3rd runner so she could transition with her hubby for a picture!!!  She also needed a flat run because her hip was hurting!
Mom ready to rock and roll trying to get her energy up she was the 4th runner.  This was her warmup dance because she was freezing!

Tiffany our 5th runner who volunteered to run up Summers hill which is up hill the whole way for 4 miles.  I did this last year and it is long and steep!!  She was practicing for her Ragnar race!
Tiff and mom transitioning runner 4 and 5!!
The 3 scott girls we had so much fun half the fun is waiting in the car and cheering people on!

Me waiting for Tiff to transition for the last leg of the race.  This year I did the section my mom usually does into town and the final leg which is 5 miles!  I loved this run the best!!
Ready, set, go last leg!!!

I was happy at the start!!!

Coming in at the finish line there was another relay girl right behind me and she went past me at the finish line and I tried so hard to catch her and couldn't I sprinted my fasted.  Since I was sprinting we didn't get a great picture of us through the finish line but this was the best picture we got.  I was ticked I couldn't pass that girl and i also paid for it because that last little bit that I sprinted made my thighs sore for a few days after!!
Yeah go Runners Crew (me, Tiff, mom Rylee, Blake and Missy)!!!!!  Dan made us our annual team tanks this year they were neon yellow with orange writing the Runners Crew!!!  After the race we went home and relaxed and then we all met out at Missy and Scott's house for tacos and to play with the kids!!!
While I was running Eddie took the kids up to the cabin with his mom, Calvin and Cache they had a fun weekend to but it was so fast for us all!!!  Eddie and the kids didn't get there til about 3 in the morning but he said the kids were very good for him but the weather was kind of crappy!!  Sadie was in heaven at the cabin just as usual, I missed the kids so much though!!
