1 month old, City Creek, and Discovery Gateway!!!

I can't believe that our little guy is already 1 month old! He is just getting bigger by the day his is now grown out of newborn clothes and growing into almost fitting into 3 month clothes. I think he is going to be bigger than Sadie was! We are just loving him as our new addition to our family! Spencer is finally getting to be more alert and is usually awake for a few hours in the morning then sleeps all afternoon and awake again for a few hours at night and then sleep about 2-3 hour increments during the night, which makes for a tired momma!

On Spencer's one month birthday we celebrated going downtown to check out City Creek center with my mom, Rylee, and Eddie met us for lunch and walked around a bit! Sadie loved City Creek she didn't even realize it was a mall because they had so many kids things going on like face painting and balloon animals, they were all free. We had such a fun afternoon we felt like we were on vacation in California the weather was sooo nice and City Creek gave off a feel of being on vacation. After Eddie had lunch and walked around a bit he and Sadie went home and my mom, Rylee, Spencer and I walked around and window shopped for a few hours. There are so many cool shops but nothing for me to afford! What a great afternoon!

City Creek had lots of entertainment not only just for the kids but also had street mimes and music on every corner!

Sadie the Butterfly!
City Creek was designed so cool to be able to see the temple in the background!
This week we also went to Discovery Gateway Museum with the Pickleseimers! This was a lot of fun watching Sadie play at the museum we have not been there for about 1 year and now she loves playing with different toys there then she use to. She enjoyed all the activities upstairs this trip which she has never before. We use to have a membership but when it expired we didn't renew because Sadie was always so horrible when it came time to leave I could not handle it and decided not to do it again. This time at the museum she must have matured a ton the last year because she left so easily and even made it through the store without asking for everything! Thanks for being so good Sadie I love you and your growing up too fast!!!!

Staying at home with Spencer and Sadie!!!

I have been enjoying staying home with Spencer and Sadie once it is time to go back to work after 2 months it will be very hard to leave these 2 little munchkins! We have had so much fun with the weather starting to be nice Sadie just wants to play outside everyday and poor little spencer just gets dragged along with us. My double Bob jogging stroller has been the greatest $75.00 purchase ever, I bought it off KSL and they retail for $500-600! Sadie has been so good and gentle with Spencer and she is very willing to help me get things for him when I ask her to. She loves to get the formula ready for him and also just cuddle him while watching TV. I have to be careful that she doesn't cuddle him too hard! She is as in love with this little guy as Eddie and I are. Spencer has been your normal average sleeper and sleeps all day and is up every 2-3 hours at night. He is a very mellow baby some nights he screams it out for a few hours it seems that he gets bubbles built up inside him, poor guys. He is a tank when it comes to eating he already is eating at least 4 oz. and is only 5 weeks old!
Sadie in heaven watching TV and cuddling with her brother on our bed!
Getting ready to go see the Easter Bunny at Fashion Place Mall. The Easter Bunny would not let us take our own pictures and I didn't buy one because Sadie looked scared in them all. Sadie was excited to make a special trip to see the bunny then when it was her turn she didn't want to sit on his lap. I took her up there because I knew she would be mad if she didn't sit on his lap she did well but was very timid. At the end she got a little mask that looked like a lamb and she was so excited. Hopefully this will cure her fears of mascots. Mascots are about the only fear that this little girl has!
Relaxing and cuddling again on Mom and Dad's bed our favorite activity!

Newborn pictures of Spencer Calvin Woolley!

Sunday March 11 Rylee and I drove to Centerville to meet a friend of Rylee's that she works with named Kaylee. She had offered to take Spencer's newborn pictures she is not professional but did a really wonderful job and there was no cost to me and now I have the disc to any picture I want! We went to Kaylee's daughters house in Farmington her home was beautiful, a perfect place to snap pictures. Kaylee was so patient(we spent 3 hours between feeding him and trying to get him to sleep) Spencer is never awake during the day and of course the one time we wanted him asleep so he would not be fidgety he would not sleep. All of these pictures look like he was asleep I am not sure how she captured the moments of when his eyes were closed because there were very few! We brought Sadie with us because I wanted to get some pictures of the kids together. Sadie seemed that she was not feeling good so we grabbed a few quick snaps of her that turned out surprisingly well. When we got in the car Sadie threw up and she had a fever of 102 degrees poor girl we were trying to get her to pose and you could tell she was pretty lifeless!!! I am very excited about capturing such great memories of my 2 adorable kids!! Thanks Autie Ry-Ry for all your hard work in editing all these pictures getting rid of dry skin and all!!!

Rylee and I are holding his arms under the blanket. Kaylee had to capture the picture quick because his little head would just flop over. He was only 17 days old.
My poor son getting strangled but the idea was cute!
My 2 little angels. Love this picture!

Can you even tell she was so sick???

Cousins and skiing Deer Valley!

This week was the annual ski trip that Andy, Tallie, Sue and Curtis come into town for and stay at Deer Valley with their friends and ski all week! This year Eddie decided to take 2 days off of work and join them at the resort. We have not had a record snow fall this year but the weather was nice and so was the company. I meet Eddie up at the resort Thursday late afternoon and brought Sadie and Spencer to see their cousins and so Sadie could ski a bit! Sadie skied 2 runs ( which was actually pretty good saying that before she only lasted 1 run. We have been trying to teach her this year she loved it at the start and then for some reason the excitement of died after about 2 times) and then saw Andy and Tallie and that was the end of her skiing because she wanted just to play with her cousins. The weather was so nice at the plaza so we hung outside on the patio with them for a bit and just talked and let the kids play. Sadie was in heaven. Eddie and I also took the day on Saturday to go skiing together with them for the day. This was really fun I had not been skiing all year because I was pregnant for the whole season but despite what the Dr. said about skiing I had to go since I having been feeling really good after having Spencer! Some thought I was crazy because Spencer is only 3 weeks old but we dropped the kids off with my mom and she took them to Mc Donalds and to get a red box, Sadie of course loved this. We almost didn't stay and ski because the weather had been so nice all week and then on Saturday it was windy and rainy but when we got to Deer Valley and decided we needed to go because we had a sitter and I had not skied for the year. It was cold but we had a great time despite, it was a very leisure day and the snow was either slushy or icy. ( this season has been horrible snow fall year anyway)Before Andy and Tallie left to go home to Kansas we all went over to Grandma Jeanette's house for fruit and bagels so we could see them one last time until they come out in July for a Hebgen trip! While at grandmas house Sadie would not say goodbye because she was soooo upset that Andy and Tallie were going home because she doesn't get to see them very often! What a fun weekend unfortunately I did not have my camera most of the time so there is not many pictures but the memories will last us a lifetime! Now we are getting ready to go to Grandma Kathy's and Papa's house for Sunday night dinner with the whole Family!

Andy and Tallie meeting Spencer for the first time at Grandma Jeanette and Grandpa's condo!
The kids playing on the patio deck at deer valley. The weather was just beautiful but the snow was horrible.

Shower and birth to 2 weeks old!

My work threw a fun shower for Natalie and I who were both having boys within about 6 weeks of each other. This shower was so fun I got some fun things and we played some really great shower games! We went to Marilyn's house and she had a yummy salad bar, fruit and dessert!

The night before having Spencer!

This is a good picture of how excited our little Sadie was for her little brother was born after a long 9 months for her!
Spencer's 1st bath at home he was definitely not a fan!
Our little blondy. Pictures of Spencer through 2 weeks old!

One of Sadies favorite neighbor friends Abbey!

like father like son I think Spencer wore him out the first week of staying up with him. Eddie helped out a lot at night the first week because he was off of work!
At 2 weeks old we took Spencer and Sadie up to my grandparents cabin in Oakley with the family. we went sledding, snowmobiling, played on the playground, ate food, and spent time in the cabin. Kesha and I also went for a snowshoing excursion as well! We had a lot of fun but that night as we were leaving one of nick's snowmobile broke down and it took a couple of hours to fix and then they took us too the car first because we had the baby. When they all went to leave nick's trailer had a flat and they ended up not fixing it and had to go up the next morning to get it!

sledding the hill right in from of the cabin!

Spencer meeting Andy and Tallie the first time when they came out for their annual March ski trip at Deer Valley!
After the 2 week check up Spencer now weighs 7 lbs. 13 oz. the Dr. says he must be eating well!!!! No jaundice this time yeah and no other huge problems. We just love every minute of being home and spending time with 2 of our favorite people!

Our Sweet Little Man Spencer Calvin Woolley February 24th 2012

After a long day of waiting for a phone call from the hospital so i could come in for my induction our sweet little boy Spencer Calvin Woolley was born at 9:25 p.m., 7 lbs. 7 oz., 21 1/2 inches long perfect and healthy! The night before I could not sleep with the anticipation of the baby coming I was so excited to meet him! The hospital said they would call between 5-9 a.m. to tell me what time to come in, it was a sleepless night and it got to be 9 a.m. and I had not heard anything so I called the hospital. They had no rooms and weren't sure they would but I was to keep calling every hour. I was not sure scheduling an induction was the greatest idea for me because I had too many nerves built up and now it might not happen I was not too happy. My neighbor the greatest Dr. out there got me in finally at 2 and then the labor began. I went in about 4 o'clock to be hooked up to the potosin and my antibiotics being strep B positive and got my epideral when only dilated to a 2 because the Dr. was going in on a c-section. It took a few hours to dilate to a 6 then only about a 1/2 hour to a 10 and then it was go time. When i got to a 6 my epideral was wearing so they check it and gave me more and then everything was smooth. Dr. Terry said at about 8:30 the baby would come at 9:21 and he was only 4 minutes off, that is what happens after years of doing this. I had Eddie, my mom, Rylee and Kesha in the room during delivery they were the greatest cheering section only 3 pushes and he was out and I felt really great! I had such awesome support and a great photography staff between Rylee and Kesha- thanks guys! Right after he was born I loved having the skin to skin time and just looking into his eyes and meeting him for the first time! Soon after Grandma Jeanette and Sadie showed up and Sadie was so excited and extremely gentle with the baby. She was all smiles she loved coming to the hospital everyday to see me and Spencer now she oftens asks when we are going back to the hospital so she can come to visit because she thought it was sooo fun! Our labor and delivery nurses' name was Sadie she was so nice. After the delivery I was feeling really good and the feeling had come most of the way back in my legs and I was able to move in a wheelchair up to maternity. The hospital stay was fantastic I am bottle feeding so the nursery took Spencer all night so I could catch up on sleep while still in the hospital before the reality of no sleep would be kicking in! Spencer is such a mellow baby to have around he usually cries only when hungry or needs his diaper changed. Sadie is such a great big sister and is sooo helpful with anything I need her to get. She is also very gentle and a great example to her baby brother.

The Awesome neighbor Dr. Terry who finally got me in on the induction date!!
Love at first sight he was sooo perfect!!
