Trip to California!!!

I love to go to California but to be honest I was apprehensive with a quick trip driving there with a 2 yr. old in the car with us. I would have to say the trip was very successful Sadie was a superhero. My sister-in-law Camille gave us good places along the way to stop we rented a toyota Camry and off we went. 1st stop Elko, Nevada at Mc Donalds playland sadie loved the rocket ship, 2nd stop loveland at the outdoor playground that we could not find on the way down because it was pitch black, Reno Eddie was too tired to keep driving so we spent the night in Reno at the Nugget!! The next day finished the 2 hours to Davis, CA to Camille, paul, and Derek's house we dropped off Sadie and we continued to San Francisco for the day and went to the Giants game and then to fishermans wharf!!! I was so glad we had our stops mapped out I think that is what helped us to keep Sadie so happy she just watched movies and talked about going to Camilles house which was called California! The reason for this trip was because a family friend Steve and Annie Fernald got married in Sonoma Valley in wine country it was abosolutely beautiful. We also got to spend time with Camille, Paul, and Derek and their home in Davis (what a cool town everyone rides bikes the campus is full neck to neck of bikes)

Steve and Annie Fernald Calvin was the best man!!!
Other shots from the days events at the wedding Sadie keep saying Steve and Annie got married she was sooooo cute!!! The weather was beautiful and the wedding was at a gorgeous winery that was great for the kids because it had places for them to play!

Sadie danced the night away!!

Pictures of the winery

These were blowing in the wind and sadie was blowing so hard because she thought she was moving them. So funny!!!

Sadie and Derek at the playground!

Breakfast at Crepeville in Davis!!!

Giants game at the at&t mobile park. Most beautiful ball field over looking the bay!!!

The day in San Fransico was a blast I love that city. This was the first and last time to have a car in the city every parking was so expensive (60 dollars to park by the stadium) next time we will ride the train!!! The weather was great for the game and the we spent some time at fishermans wharf bought some crab for eddie, walked around the shops and bought some sourdough bread and then headed back to Davis to Camilles. The next day we drove to Sonoma for the wedding events and then the next day back to SLC. This trip was a ton of drive but was so memorable and fun and now I am ready for another road trip and Sadie proved herself to be good in the car!!!

Quick Summer Catch Up!!!

I really want to have a blog put together so I can look back at something because I get too far behind in scrapbooking and know that I will never get motivated to do it. Blogging I am hoping maybe a solution but I feel like I am already partially failing so I am totally playing catch up now. This summer 2010 Sadie turned 2 in July. We did some trips that were close by like park city, snowbird, and we also did a couple of trips to the cabin in Montana. Sadie loves to go anywhere and has the best memories of all these places and she remembers them so well!!! This summer was soooo much fun because Sadie can now interact with us and do things- she is interested in riding bikes, hiking, hockey and football. She does love girly things too like dolls, strollers and her play tike house!!! She is very smart and can hold a conversation and always talks about starting preschool and learning to read books!! She is growing to fast.

Hebgen Lake with the whole family. Sue, Curtis and family and Camille, Paul and family. Sadie loved being with all her cousins.

Sunday afternoon hiking trip to donut falls with grandma and grandpa Woolley. Sadie rode up in the back pack but walked all the way back to the car. Her first real hike to walk by herself she did great!!!

Utah..... What a let down!!!!

Yesterday was the big Utah vs. TCU football game this was a home game and the day of espn's college game day was going to be at the Rice Eccles stadium. Both teams were undefeated at this point and fans were raring to go. The ute fans were tailgating like crazy and some even spent the night in tents on the streets. This was all very fun to see until the game actually started. Just to start Sadie and I decided to join Eddie for all the pregame day events such as tailgating and the ute walk we were having so much fun and fans were on such a high. I did not have a ticket to the game I was just going to take Sadie home for a nap. Once I was there I wanted in to the game so right before it started I bought a ticket from a scalper for 60 dollars which was a great deal saying that other tickets were about 150 to 275 so I thought it was a deal!!! Sadie was already being a nightmare I made it to my seat at almost halftime. By now Sadie was so tired it was bed time so I sat in my seat which wasn't even by eddie for about 5 minutes and decided to go tell eddie I was leaving. The standing room was too busy this game to let Sadie run around!!! I left with Sadie asleep in my arms and had to walk to trax while I was there Eddie calls and says I will meet you at the car this game is pathetic. What a let down of a day!!! I was so worn out I think i crashed about 830. Rule of the day: I learned not to kid yourself into going to a football game with a 2 year old during naptime!!!
Pregame Faces!!!

Cutest Ute fan ever! She loved the tailgating party she ran around waving at everyone saying go Utes!!!

Fall Leaves!!!

A few days ago I got a knock on my door from our neighbor Abbie she wanted Sadie to come into the circle to play in the leaves that they had raked up!!! It was about 5 and Sadie was still down for a nap but I told Abbie as soon as she woke up I would bring her over. Abbie and Jenna were so excited Abbie is about 9 and Jenna 10 these are Sadies most favorite friends in the neighborhood, she loves to be part of the big girl clan. This was Sadies first time in the leaves she loved to run in them kick them and throw them everywhere. This was perfect because I did not have to re-rake them after. Best fall saying from Sadie did they rake the leaves because the dog pooped on them!!!

Sadie and Jenna. When we are in are backyard you can see Jenna's house she is always asking where is Jenna and Abbie!!

Discovery Gateway

This past week we went to the Discovery Gateway with Kesha, Boston, Easton, Whitney, Sadie, and Rylee. We had so much fun watching the kids play make believe with each other. Boston and Sadie are a crack up together as long as they can share their toys they are so cute together. They had fun shopping in the grocery store, playing in the house and checking the mail, playing with the babies and the strollers, building in the construction zone, and riding in a helicopter. Discovery Gateway is just about Sadies favorite place to go we hadn't been for a bit because the weather was so bad hopefully now as the weather starts to turn on us we can go more often I can usually get 2 extras in with us if anyone would like to go???!!! The hardest part of going is that Sadie gets so attached to all the baby dolls and their stroller that if anyone touchest her dolls or stroller she goes bazerk it gets so bad I can't even get her to leave with out throwing a fit. I find it funny the dolls and strollers are her favorite thing saying she has a million of those at home. After the fun day at the museum my mom met us at the food court for lunch. What a fun day!

Shopping for their groceries!

Sadie turned 2!!!!

This is a very late post along with many others. July 22nd 2010 Sadie turned 2 if anyone asks her though she is either 6 or 3 only sometimes 2. Sadie is a young toddler full of energy on any given day even if she is sick, I am not sure where all her energy comes from!!! Sadie is talking up a storm and has finally learned to sleep in her toddler bed but we are still working on the whole potty training thing!!!! We had a big family barbecue at our house with hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and salads. Sadie was so happy to have everyone there that she knew. Thanks for all the many great gifts grocery cart with food, wooden musical band in a box, duckie tower, pink school bus and many other great things. She and the kids ran around and played all night her little tikes house was the hit for the kids. After dinner we had cake and ice cream, I got her a minnie mouse cake it was alright I could not find a picture of it though!! We love Sadie to pieces she is such a smart and funny little girls I think it is true that they say red heads come along with a lot of personality

Getting ready for Halloween!!!

Girls day out at Gardner Village!
This year for Halloween we did some fun things to get ready for Halloween I was so excited because Sadie was into Halloween and the whole dressing up thing this year. My sister in law and I love to do things with the kids so this year we took them to Gardner Village, Wheeler Farm, and Farnsworth Farms. The kids had so much fun at them all. Farnsworth farm we actually stayed for 4 hours we didn't realize it had been so long but it was so small the kids could just run around and we could keep our eyes on them. Which is really nice with young kids who like to run. We all love to see the witches at gardner village kesha, mom, rylee all the girls and the kids went. Gardner Village was a bit bigger and more crowded it took all the adult to keep the kids under control. They all loved the witches but Sadie cried when I wanted her to sit right next to one for a picture!! We dressed up in costumes for the the witches at Gardner Village because afterwards the kids were all going trick-or-treating at their dad's work!!!

Tinkerbell and the train condutor or as Sadie like to call him the "Freakin Ductor"

The three cutest kids!
Wheeler farm corn maze, hay ride and pumpkin patch with boston, Easton, and the Cooks!!!

Sadie and Boston making their way through the corn maze then they got to pick out their own pumpkins to take home!
Tinkerbell practicing putting spells on people with her magic wand!

Sadie and I baked some Halloween pumpkin cookies that she got from Cookie Cutters when she went to her first hair cut. Her favorite part was the sprinkles!

Trick-or-Treat!!!

Halloween this year was so fun sadie was so excited to trick-or-treat i would say way more excited for the treat than the trick I guess that is the case for most 2 year olds right? I was so bummed when Sadie woke up from her nap and she said mommy it is time to go to the park now I woke up. I looked out the window and realized it was pouring rain and our neighborhood trick or treat at the park would be cancelled so I told Sadie that the park was closed because it was raining and she said it's ok mommy we can go when it opens! We never made it to the park but finally about 630 it stopped raining and Sadie and I went out trick or treating with our neighbors Sam and Jill these 2 munchkins were the cutest kids out there they would knock so soft no one could here them but then say trick or treat so loud that everyone could hear them!!! We paraded up the street a bit and around the circle, made it short and simple she loved it. Sadie was Tinkerbell and Sam was a shark it was cold and rainy out but the kids were not phased by it! Eddie stayed home and gave out candy and watch the Utes beat Air Force after a neck to neck game. Then Grandparents came over for soup and dessert and to watch the final part of the game Sadie had so much energy from all the candy and was so excited to have both grandparents at our house at the same time. This year Sadie's favorite Halloween things to say was give me my candy, happy Halloween, and trick-or-treat smell my feet give me something good to eat. Tinkerbell and the Shark. Better known as Sadie and Sam!!
Sadie was so excited for the candy I had to hide most of it so we don't have any candy fits!
Sadie (Tinkerbell), Sam (shark), and Tyler (lion) all cute neighbor friends!!!
Trick-or-Treat smell my feet give me something good to eat!!
I made her tutu but by the end of the night it was all mushed up, it might be a one and done thing!

Easter activities!!!

Sadie and I made some Easter treats, robins nests and easter eggs made out of rice krispies with sprinkles. The sprinkles were Sadies favorite part. This is a great treat to make that is really easy to let the little tots help with. We had a blast the kitchen was a total mess though once we were done!!!

My mom and I dyed easter eggs with Boston and Sadie. We attempted this on my lunch break on Wednesday when I came home to her house it was a good thing she didn't try by herself it would have been a very difficult task! The kids loved it but all Sadie wanted to do was throw the egg, eat the egg, or peel the egg. Boston on the other hand was so proud of his eggs he didn't want anyone to touch them!!!

Watch out I want that color Sadie was grabbing like crazy for the dye!The fun we had in the food court at the mall after crying on the Easter Bunnies lap.
My little angel with her mischievious smile!!

At the ward easter egg hunt at Canyon Rim park. She was so excited to find the eggs she kept saying look another egg the funny thing was that most of them were just out in plain site!
Sadie on the Easter Bunnies lap after waiting for about a half hour. She was so excited to see the bunny while we were in line and then when it came her turn she didn't want anything to do with it!!

The best part was the Easter bunnies garden.
